For many years, I was someone who purchased those boxes of fresh food that come together to create a meal for four. Now that there are only two of us in the house, Inspired Indian has become a new favorite for easy flavorful meals. The shopping lists are short and the recipes very straight forward. I almost never cook with whole spices but, thanks to these kits, I'm enjoying the fragrant flavors of bay leaves, cloves, fenugreek seeds and cardamom! I also recommend going online for the recipe adaptations - so helpful to substitute or add suggested ingredients. For example, we will occasionally add some of the variation vegetables to a meat focused dish just to have more variety. Also, if you're new to cooking Indian food consider doing all of the chopping and prep before you start cooking anything. Last but not least, consider having a bit more of your favorite spices on hand. We decided that we really enjoy Kashmiri chili powder and have been known to add more zip to Tikka Masala, Butter Masala and Magalorean Curry that way.

Exactly what is claimed: the proper spices and simple instructions to created authentic Indian food at home. I had steered away from traditional recipes because of the vast array of spices needed -- even if you could fine the proper spices who would sell such small amounts for a single dish? I have tried seven different packs and all were excellent. Note they are not very spicy for those who may be concerned. Just add your own chilies to taste.
Delicious and convenient?
Thanks Kalpana, I have tried several of the spice mixes with different meat and veggie bases and they have all been delicious. And they have all been very easy to use and quick to prepare, too. My husband does most of the cooking, and he likes to prepare everything from scratch. He is impressed at how fresh and reliably tasty these meals are, too.
